UNIFIREX F-10™ is a Spray On Resistant Fireproofing Material and designed to help meet high temperature insulation and fire resistance as to fireproofing for designs and assembly’s. Can meet UL 263 & UL 723, ½ hour, 1 & 2 hour and more. Thermal resistance ideal where sheet rock FR Xgypsum board is not practical or reachable. This product can be an alternative application, however check with code enforcement in your area before replacing sheet rock.

UNIFIREX F-10™ is a light weight product yet superior in performance with an exclusive intumescent curing agent and flame retardant which supplies added protection for wood and other surfaces. Manufactured by Unishield, LLC made in USA. Meets ANSI/UL 263 property test, ASTM E-605, E-760 Passes, E-759 Passes, E-119. Flame Spread 05, Smoke Dev. 0. Shelf life one year in dry storage. Corrosion resistance as to ASTM E-761. Temperature conductivity ASTM C-447 from 100 ‘F to 1800 ‘F. Sleight shrinkage when dried, no cracking and superior bond strength. The test information provides a relative measure of fire-test-response of comparable building elements under these for exposure conditions. NOTE: ASTM and NFPA test are similar to UL. Certified UL is not required in all applications.

TYPES OF SPRAY UNITS FOR APPLICATION: Requires heavy duty spray equipment such as professional texture sprayer machines, most drywall companies use. Typical tip sizes are: Medium size = 3/16- 1/4 in. (5-6.5 mm)up to 3/8 - 1/2 in. (8-12 mm). Smaller areas a texture hopper can be used. Spread rate will vary according to how heavy product is applied. Clean up with soap and water Borax is a good cleaner. Do not leave mix in mixer over night or on application tools. Excess can be stored by covering for short periods. Use mixed UNIFIREX F-10 within 90 min. Let cure and set 6 - 8 hours. Coverage spread rate depends on thickness of application. Approximately 32 sq. ft. per 30 lb. bag to reach 1 hour, 25 sq. ft per 30 lb. bag of mix as a general rule to reach 2 hour rating.
